In the words of Father Solanus:

There is such a thing as getting a “taste of heaven” in this world, as we see in the lives of the saints. But it is up to each of us to strive for—inasmuch as our virtue of hope is inspired by faith in God and strengthened—sweetened—in confidence in His great merciful goodness.

Pray for poor Fr. Solanus—who like all poor sinners needs the grace of God to be fully converted.

God’s plans are always for the best, always wonderful. But most especially for the patient and humble who trust in Him, are His plans infinitely holy and sublime.

In His divine economy, God has honored His creatures—
most especially His rational ones—by giving them,
each according to their ability, a part of His own
work to do—by participation in His own divine activity.
