The Capuchin friars and our partners in ministry at the Solanus Casey Center remember our late pontiff, baptized Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who chose the pontifical name of Francis in honor of St. Francis of Assisi.

Novendiale: Nine Days of Mourning

April 21 – April 29, 2025

To mark nine days of mourning for our departed pontiff, the Solanus Casey Center has built an area for prayer near the entrance to the Chapel.

The faithful are invited to join us every day in praying for the Holy Father. St. Bonaventure Chapel is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for prayer Tuesdays through Sundays. Unite in prayer for Pope Francis by joining us in-person at St. Bonaventure Chapel for Mass at our 7:30 a.m. ET Daily Mass (9:00 a.m. ET on Sunday), or at your home parish or unite in prayer with us from home in your personal prayer.

Rosary Prayer for Pope Francis

To mark the date of the Funeral Mass for Pope Francis in Rome, the Father Solanus Council of the Knights of Columbus will pray the Holy Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Join us in St. Bonaventure Chapel as we pray for our departed pontiff.
