2024 Serie de Cuaresma: Los Sacramentos - Una Vida de Gracia

Ven a prepararte para la Pascua con los Capuchinos y únete a nosotros para el regreso de nuestra popular serie anual de Cuaresma. La charla del 20 de marzo es sobre "Penitencia" con Fr. Steve Kropp, OFM Cap., OFMCap.
The Capuchin Retreat Center in Washington Twp and the Solanus Casey Center in Detroit will be hosting a six-week Wednesday lecture series called “The Sacraments – A Lifetime of Grace”. Through this series, we’ll deepen our relationship with God by gaining a richer understanding of the church’s seven Sacraments.
Each week, from February 21 – March 27, both ministry sites will host a Mass, a simple meal, and a presentation on our topic. The Solanus Casey Center will host these events during the daytime hours, while the Capuchin Retreat Center will host the same event during the evening hours, allowing you to choose which venue and time works better for your schedule.
The topics and speakers for this series are as follows:
- Feb 21: “Baptism and Confirmation” – by Br. Vito Martinez, OFM Cap.
- Feb 28: “Marriage” – by Mrs. Sally McCuen, OFS
- Mar 6: “Holy Orders“ – by Br. Julius Milton, OFM Cap.
- Mar 13: “Anointing of the Sick” – by Br. Nathan Linton, OFM Cap.
- Mar 20: “Penance” – by Br. Steve Kropp, OFM Cap.
- Mar 27: “Eucharist” – by Br. Peter Chinnappan, OFM Cap.
Daytime talks at the Solanus Casey Center begin with a Mass in the chapel at Noon, are followed by lunch and the presentation by our speaker, and conclude with an optional Blessing of the Sick Service at 2:00 p.m.
Evening talks at the Capuchin Retreat Center begin with a dinner at 5:30 p.m., followed by the presentation by our speaker, and conclude with a Mass in the chapel at 7:00 p.m.
