About the Solanus Casey Center

Pilgrims venerate the statue of Blessed Solanus Casey in the narthex of St. Bonaventure Chapel

Inspired by the life and example of our brother, Blessed Solanus Casey, this Center strives to be a place of pilgrimage, healing, reconciliation and peace. The Solanus Casey Center was dedicated by His Eminence Cardinal Adam Maida, Archbishop of Detroit, in 2002 as a ministry of the Capuchin Franciscan Friars of the Province of St. Joseph. The Center has served as a spiritual oasis for hundreds of thousands of pilgrims of various faiths and backgrounds from around the world each year.
