Rejoice in the incarnation of our Savior and celebrate the feast of the Nativity at St. Bonaventure Chapel at our 9:00 a.m. liturgy.
The year 2023 marks the 800th anniversary of the first Nativity scene established in the Italian town of Greccio by St. Francis of Assisi in 1223. To mark the eighth centenary, the Holy See is granting a plenary indulgence to all those who visit a Franciscan worship site and pray before the Nativity scene between the Immaculate Conception (December 8, 2023) and the Presentation (February 2, 2024). As a Capuchin Franciscan worship site, St. Bonaventure is one of the locations where this plenary indulgence can be obtained.
The friars of the Solanus Casey Center wish you a Merry and Joyous Christmas!
